Overcast today with promise of rain.......did you notice I said promise as we haven't seen rain much in the last month and it would be quite nice.
My dear friend Linda who has also been through (and successfully survived) a move to the UK added one more DO to our list of "Do's and Don'ts of Moving out" and she is right, this was definitely one of the reasons the move went so smoothly for us......
DO have a job BEFORE you go if at all possible and let one partner go on ahead and set everything up, it is so much easier to move children etc if you have somewhere to go and a car to drive and income coming in and not have to rely on friends and family. Must say, not sure I would have made it if our circumstances where different, it was very very very hard for Simon to arrive in a foreign country on his own and sleep on a camp bed with nothing but a tv for company for two weeks, but it made mine and the children's transition so much easier and for that I will be forever grateful to him.
Argos knocking on the door with our final furniture delivery......yipee........now just need some pics on the walls and the house will really look like a home.
