The brilliant weather continues and according to Sky news we are in the middle of a heat wave with temperatures expecting to reach 32 degrees on Thursday - they are recommending we stay in doors and consume large volumes of water - bah humbug to that, the South African in me is still too strong and I am LOVING the heat and Nick is really enjoying crawling around in just a nappy eating icey fruit and drinking lots of water.
Mom and I are having a lovely relaxed time together catching up and have been doing some walking and enjoying the village....when mom is with me she simply cannot resist the little greengrocer in town and the house is once again full of fresh flowers and cherries the size of gobstoppers (delish).
Phillip is jumping in the district meet tomorrow and Si has taken the day off work to go and support him....looking forward to watching my boy and am hoping that the day goes well.

Anyone who had any doubt about climate change just has to look at current weather trends to know that we are destroying our planet. You guys are sweltering in the UK while we freeze in Africa! Our daytime temps haven't gone above 15 for the last 2 weeks, and this in a country that hits 45 in the summer! Traditionally our winter days sit at around 20 degrees so now you can't find a jacket or jumper to buy in a 100km radius! Good Luck Phil, have a blast! Am off to British High Comm now to apply for my visa, wish me luck, they seem to think we're all a refugee risk!!
I'll be drinking my water outside as well! Shades of Durban yipeeeee xx
glad to hear that your house is filled with fresh flowers.I so enjoyed them when i was still there with your mom.Hope that Philip did well today.Thought about it the whole day.Am sure just that fact that Simon could be there meant the world to him.
Enjoy your sunshine & time with your mom, Mary
Enjoy your summery days. Hope Phil did well and I am sure it meant a lot for his dad to be there. Somehow you find the extra to perform when someone is there watching.
