Saturday 24th July 2010

Megs and I hit the car boot sale in Horsham first thing this morning on the hunt for a wooden train set for Nicholas for his birthday - sadly no luck although Megs LOVED wondering around all the stalls and we had a really lovely mother/daughter morning.

Met up with Amanda, Justin, Angela and Gary at a South African event in Horsham at 1pm and it was great to sit in the sunshine nibbling on all kinds of South African treats listening to African music and catching up.

Like father like son....both like a tiny bit of Castle beer :0)

Mila and Megs enjoying the Nik Naks

Megsie was a SUPER STAR baby sitter and kept both Mila and Nick entertained

Nick enjoying his Fizzpop sucker

Perfect picnic weather

The men enjoyed the Castle beer, the kids enjoyed the fizzpop suckers and I got stuck into a rather delish batch of koeksisters - a lovely day filled with little tastes of home.

I remember going to one of those many years ago when we spent a year in London before we got married so maybe they're still a popular event! Fizzpops are so delicious but they always end up hurting my mouth/tongue...weird...Glad you enjoyed another fun day out ;-D
