This morning we decided a family road trip would be doable and so packed our car to the rafters and headed down the coast to Pagham, a small seaside village near Chichester, and also the site of my family home.

The weather was glorious and the whole family enjoyed time lying on the beach chatting and relaxing before a lovely lunch in a quaint beach cafe followed by a trip to the local parish church to visit my great grandparents grave.

The children were enchanted by the history my mom was able to tell them about my paternal family and it was fun to drive around finding houses that used to belong to aunt and uncles and to see "White Rock" restored to it's former glory after years and years of neglect.

You are looking SO VERY good my friend. Stunning photos...so glad you had that outing, it must have been medicine for the soul. It is still so odd to see beaches with pebbles in stead of sand.

Beach with stones I find hard to picture enjoyable..but your pictures make it look really lovely.
